Cast Urethane Silicone Rubber Molds

Our urethane cast silicone rubber mold components, are rapid made for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing short-run production pieces, utilizing secondary soft tooling form RTV molding.

Urethane Casting
Rubber Parts

Urethane casting is a great high-quality way to create parts and whole model concept marketing ideas. Brilliantly works well for detailed designs of rubber parts produced from silicone rubber molds. The RTV molds can produce anywhere from 20–50-piece components.

Urethane Casting
Materials

  • Clear Urethane Elastomers (65A-72D)
  • Flexible Urethane Elastomers (60-95A)
  • Low Durometer Urethane Elastomers (20-55A)
  • + much more

Urethane Casting
Method

Urethane casting—RTV molding involves the use of vacuum machines to draw liquid material into a mold. Also, there’s a difference in the molds used. While urethane uses silicone, the materials used for cast parts are also, very different. This casting method can be difficult because of moisture and reaction from it. The above method starts with a silicone mold, in order to create a mold master pattern of the parts that will be manufactured. The master pattern is either made from 3D printed or CNC machined process, then by pouring the silicone into the tool imprints of the parts that will be shaped. As soon as the mixture of part A and B which are two separate liquids, they are combined to form a chemical reaction and start the method that turns the urethane from liquid to solid. This is called curing or room temperature vulcanization (RTV).
